In going through old notes, I found this in one of my notebooks. Most likely from Fall of 2022.

She wrote herself a world

Because

That is what one will do

To better their Earth:

Using the tools she had

Penning a menag-

erie

Of sounds

Of sights

Sounds one can't hear

With ears

Sights one can't see

With eyes

But in the mind

Such thoughts bloom

And grow

And nourish

And flower

Her own garden

For her to rest

And see her own creations

She slid and glid through water

Waves

Tossed flames into air

Fireworks

And pulled roots from the ground

Lassoed onto trees

Vines

For her to swing

From thought to thought

Etch to etch

Written lines - her creation

Life breathed onto pages

In return she respired

Content with her written world
