Day in

Day out

Day break

The days that fall away

When on autopilot

Easy to wish away

An abundance of time

Shrunken down

To a small single second

I’d rather live one minute present

Then an hour given away

Yet I keep sitting here

Wishing time away

Day in

Day out

Day break

Unable to shed

The no longer needed

Choosing to carry

The weight instead
