For Emma Jayne

We confuse

Growth for grief

And numb the pain

To find relief

I can't rush

Acceptance waves ashore

Any faster

Than time sands allore

I can't help but think

The Earth sheds a tear

After she Sun Eclipses

And is no longer near

For a moment in time

Sun and Earth: Intertwine

But the two keep going

Keep growing

Orbit destiny divine

Sometimes

Two paths

That ultimately diverge

Interlap one another

Lifelines merged

And while we may not always

Run together and overlap

We can always cross again

Tracing steps back

Perhaps

To find peace

Amongst discomfort

Is embracing

Childlike faith

Simply

Believing in

The good the future holds

Trusting there will be

Eclipses future unfold

Hopeful astrologers

I aspire us to be

For I believe in the future Eclipses

Of Emma Jayne and Abby

Thank you Abby in the Sky. Thank you. For a moment in time… sun and earth intertwine.

Thank you for being my best moment in time in New York City. More eclipses to come. Stay tuned.
