Flowers Follow Her

Flowers follow her wherever she goes

Tulips, daisies, petals of rose

Cherry blossoms crown her hair

Ivy wraps around her waist

Sun beams play upon her face

She graces a deserted land

Blackened with smoke and ash

She kneels

Lovingly touching the hurting ground

It trembles

She reassures

"It's okay, you're safe now"

She calls to the waters

"It is safe to return"

And the river dances in again

Trees grow

Branches exalted in the sky

And once more

The birds fly

Her flowers adorn the meadow

Now green with love

Before she departs

To heal another

She leaves behind

A single blue lotus flower

To remind the meadow

Of its resilience

Its pure of heart,

Childlike innocence

Flowers follow her wherever she goes

Tulips, daisies, petals of rose

Her lotus remains with the land

As a reminder

Of its beauty within

And it's never too late

To begin again
