Perfection is immortal

She always was

And always is

What a soul-suffocating fate

To not be born

But to always exist

Perfection deprives

The Phoenix from rising

The snake skin-sloughing

The cocoon becoming coffin

Perfection

Free of flaw

But chained

By her own destiny

Symmetric asphyxiation

Perfection is perfectly devoid

Of the ability to rise

From the asymmetric ashes

And begin anew

I propose

There is freedom in flaw

In idiosyncracy

In scratches and scars

My heart

Never once raced

At the sight of perfection

But rather

By the embracing

Of bumps

Bruises

And beautiful

Imperfections
