Stardusted soul

The midnight sky twinkles

With the thought of you

Uh-huh, honey

Grocery lists

Random knick knacks

Stardust strewn

Stardust scattered

Once again lost in thought

My focus is in tatters

Get out of my head

Like the sky

My mind is clouded

I seek clarity to see the stars

But the clouds

They form the cloak

Dark and bounded

I can't lift this yoke

But those stars

Those stars prevail

They shine light through

The cloak I use to hide

Away from the stardust

I find in your eyes

Such streams of light

I long to feel

Upon my face

Surrounded

Warm with your embrace

Oh this cloak

It chains and binds

However

A cloak can be

An elegant veil

Once used to hide

Is now to reveal

My face as your bride

My eyes unveiled

I let you now see

The stardust

Sparkling in me

Stardust strewn

Stardust scattered

Stardust painted across the sky

Yet still the brightest

Is the stardust in our eyes

Such a life have we

Defined by the stars

How can such faraway objects

Determine all we are?

But if you await

The same fate as I

Let's scatter stardust together

Dancing 'round the sky
