Some days I wait

Waiting for an ocean

To knock me over

Somersaulting

A force to move me

Others days I wade

Wading through the water

Despite how strong

The rip current rips

I create the energy flow

Why is it

That I go from

A shell of waiting

To momentum wading

To stumble back

Stationary waiting

Waiting to wade

Wading to wait

Floating

Treading water

Waiting for a lifeboat

Wading toward the shore
