Will you let me be beautiful

It’s not permission seeking

It’s an observation

Will you see me for me

Will you let me be beautiful

The peace pieced inside

Tulip lips, Daisyed hair

Eyes sapphire streams

Palms of rose

Of thornless

Sunlit lightbeams

Are you safe enough to see

The world I’ve hid well kept

Are you worth showing

What I fight to protect

I sleep in cherry blossom petals

They bloom year round

Draped in chrysanthemummed mums

Awake in lilied crown

Ankled in ivy

I’m beautiful alone

With my flowered fable friends

Is it safe to be beautiful

Amongst other humans

Will you let me be beautiful

In golden ray dripped glory

The few who’ve seen this

Are the few who truly know me

Perhaps in time

You’ll share with me too

I can’t wait to know

The remarkable beautiful you
